UI posted this some days back, but want to remind people of this opportunity since Friday 18 June is the voting deadline. They have launched an ElectEquality program, where they plan to help 10 specific candidates for Federal office this year. Chris Coons is one of the candidates here. From the notice:
Stonewall is an organization dedicated to electing pro-LGBT candidates to office. This year, we’re going to focus our efforts on 10 federal candidates through our ElectEquality program, and we’re asking the online community to help us pick them. The candidates who are selected will be the beneficiaries of a coordinated online and offline campaign, including our placing a full-time organizer to work with our local chapter to organize LGBT volunteers and turnout for Chris Coons.
Voting is underway over at www.ElectEquality.org to narrow our list of 30 down to 10 and it ends Friday, June 18th. We thought you might be interested to know that Mr. Coons is a strong contender, but definitely needs his supporters voting for him/her online. It would be great if you could post about the campaign and get some votes flowing for him.
With your help, we can increase constituent knowledge about Chris Coons support for LGBT equality and our desire to help him out in the fall.
You have 10 votes and can use them how you see fit — even voting for Chris 10 times if you like. Once you’ve voted, you have an opportunity to share this message via Facebook or Twitter or even to email your friends to vote.
So get busy and vote for Chris! You have today and tomorrow to help him to get some additional national help for his campaign.
