  1. I heard kids like to play with string. Wait, is that kittens? I get them confused.

  2. fightingbluehen says:

Tell that to Brangelina, Madona, and other elites that have so much money that it actually makes them insane.

  3. jason330 says:

    elites? What a dipshit.

  4. fightingbluehen says:

oh, sorry ass munch, I meant Hollywood wack job, elites

  5. cassandra m says:

fbh decides to get his class resentments on again. Bet he wants to apologize to Tony Hayward for his public spanking for being at the elitist yacht races, too.

  6. fightingbluehen says:

My point is that these people buy kids, like some people buy pets.
    Is this not true ?

  7. cassandra m says:

Who cares if it is true? And if it is true, it’s a banal point. No one *here* is buying a kid.

  8. pandora says:

You have no idea if it’s true, or not, FBH. What I know is true is that if Sarah Palin, Mitt Romney, or any other “rich” Republican were doing this you’d be praising them. And… of all the things people do with their wealth, adopting children seems to be the most worthwhile.

Perhaps, instead of condemning wealthy celebs for adopting children we should be asking why more wealthy people aren’t doing this – especially those who are pro-life.

  9. pandora says:

No one *here* is buying a kid.

LOL! No, I didn’t buy a kid. I have my nephew stay with us for six weeks at the beach. He’s a great kid. My post was silly – and even though adding another kid is more work I wouldn’t have it any other way.

  10. jason330 says:

John Avalon at the daily beast found the money paragraph in Beck’s book which explains FBH and his ilk:

“The public has lost their courage to believe. They have given up on their ability to think. They can no longer even form opinions. They absorb opinions sitting slack jawed in front of their televisions. Their thoughts are manufactured by people like me…We leverage their hopes and feed their fears. Once they believe, they are ours forever.”

The us vs. them claptrap that seeps into his every comment is the shibboleth.

  11. fightingbluehen says:

I’m not sure what your point is Jason. I don’t form my opinion by following what the Fox news or any other network propagandist thinks, and using us vs. them as my shibboleth is not applicable to my situation.

By the way, I had to look up “shibboleth”.

  12. cassandra m says:

using us vs. them as my shibboleth is not applicable to my situation.

Of course it is. That is the whole point of your tired dis of the people with money adopting kids. And for somebody who claims all too often that you don’t follow FOX, you sure have their talking points down pat.

  13. fightingbluehen says:

Cassandra my “dis”, as you put it, towards the Hollywood elite adopting kids, is that adding another child to their lives IS the same as adding a cat. I’m sure it’s not the case every time, but hey, I make my own observations.
I also stand by my premise, that shit loads of money makes people insane.

  14. cassandra m says:

It isn’t as though you can actually know that, of course. And, of course, that relieves you from acknowledging the fact that these people adopting kids have put some family values on display. But then, the business of kids as accessories isn’t limited to *Hollywood elites* — Sarah Palin certainly has the knack.

But at the end of the day this is more of your usual ressentiments about liberals with money and other advantages that you don’t have. Clearly you aren’t nearly as disturbed about the behavior of people running big corporations for lots of money who are busily destroying the Gulf.

  15. delacrat says:

    FBH,

why don’t you conservatives ever refer to reagan and schwarzneggar as members of the “Hollywood elite”?

  16. fightingbluehen says:

“ressentiments about liberals with money and other advantages that you don’t have.”

Cassandra, I don’t care how much money liberals or corporate big wigs make. I was just making a social observation pertaining to the comparison of pets and children.

As far as “money and other advantages” that I don’t have, I’m not to worried about it.

  17. cassandra m says:

If you aren’t too worried abut it, you certainly lead with your resentments against people with money and/or degrees an awful lot. But then again — the rich and educated liberals are the usual boogeymen of the Fox Noise crowd.

  18. fightingbluehen says:

Cassandra, again with the Fox news insults ? I think I’ve made it clear that I don’t watch network news. I think all network news is biased to one side or the other. Once in a while I listen to Rush Limbaugh for entertainment, but that’s about it. As far as having resentments for people with degrees I don’t, but I also don’t think a college degree in most cases proves anything except that you are an average student who completed a marginal task.

  19. jason330 says:

All of your comments make it clear that you love FOX news. It is possible, I suppose, that you don’t watch it right now…or are not watching Fox at this precise moment. But you’ve logged hundreds of hours of Hannity and Beck. So many hours that you parrot the talking points and mimic the cry baby victimology unconsciously.

    Congratulations….I guess.

  20. a. price says:

maybe he just happens to think EXACTLY the same way beck and hannity do.

  21. fightingbluehen says:

My own opinion boys. Hate to disappoint you. I am a Republican, and my views are slightly right of center though, so maybe that’s what throws you off a bit.

  22. jason330 says:

Whatever. You are only fooling yourself. (I can see how that is an indispensable skill for people like you.)

  23. cassandra m says:

Exactly, a. price. Come here repeating the Fox Noise talking points, and we’ll remind you that they are Fox Noise talking points. But if you’re looking for people you can fool on this point, you may want to try the DelawarePolitics crowd.

  24. fightingbluehen says:

You people have lost your minds. What talking points ?
May be you’re the ones who follow Fox news. Yeah, closet Fox watchers.

  25. cassandra m says:

The business about a”Chicago style shakedown!” that you were cluelessly repeating yesterday was a clear talking point. A quick search of Google shows that pretty clearly

  26. jason330 says:

On and on. FBH wants everyone to think that he comes up with wingnut talking points independently. What a dipshit.

  27. Joanne Christian says:

Well, back to Pandora’s intent–I would rather watch/add a child for six weeks, than watch/add a dog (cat–no problem) for six weeks. I like the longer leash of a child.

  28. fightingbluehen says:

I spent a significant amount of time in the Watergate as a child. My parents lived there part time. My sister still lives in Georgetown, and contributes to the media. I’ve been referring to her and her ilk as Washington elites for years.

Obama is a Chicago politician. Chicago has been known for slimy heavy handed politics for a hundred years. Obama naturally uses his style of Chicago politics, and it doesn’t take a genius to see this.

I can’t help it if Fox news sees the obvious as so many do.

  29. cassandra m says:

No need to keep digging here. But do know that you aren’t making any headway in getting anyone here to share your delusions.

  30. fightingbluehen says:

Substitute “delusions” with “truths” and you will be closer to reality cassandra.

  31. pandora says:

Actually, I wouldn’t call you delusional, FBH, as much as I would call you bitter. You really do come across as a person who faithfully followed Republican ideology and didn’t reap the promised rewards.

  32. cassandra_m says:

I’m certainly NOT the reality-challenged here, but keep digging, fbh.

  33. a.price says:

so he blames it on the opposition to his “reality” because there is NO POSSIBLE WAY the republican promise was wrong… or even a lie.

FBH, the Elite Right wing has used you and countless like you for years to gain wealth and power. I feel bad for you because you are their pawn who they care nothing about and all you do is hate everything for them.
