Working Families Party Polling for…Themselves
Got called by a pollster tonight. Always love to try to figure out just who’s polling and for what purpose. Tonight’s was easy.
Some guy from Canada (he even said ‘or-gan-eye-zation) ostensibly polling the Castle/Coons race. Asks me my opinion of certain or-gan-eye-zations first, the D’s, the R’s, and the McGlincheyites.
Then asks me who I support in the race for Senate.
When I answer ‘Coons’, he asks me which of two ballot lines I intend to cast my Coons vote on-the D’s or the Working Families Party. I answer D.
At which point, the Canadian proceeds to read me a two-minute testimonial as to the great works of the Working Families Party. Or, it would have been two minutes (I suspect) had I not cut him off and said that I’m well familiar with the Working Families Party.
He then asks me an asinine question as to whether I support the working class, the middle class, the moneyed class, or the wealthy. I have to pick one.
He then repeats the horse race question and again asks me which line I intend to cast my vote for Coons on.
Now, there’s no harm in this. But I have a question: If the Working Families Party is devoting x number of dollars to the Coons campaign for Senate, shouldn’t they spend it on behalf of Coons, and not spend it on ‘push polls’ to convince people already voting for Coons that they should vote for Coons on the Working Families Party line? How, exactly, does THAT benefit Chris Coons?
WFP supported crooks like Delucca and Lofink, no thanks.
When has McGlinchey cared about benefiting anyone but himself … uh, I mean his union members?

In 2008, I polled for the Biden campaign and Karen Hartely-Nagle etc. The polls were always set up to frame a few different questions. You could correctly call them push polls.
In the above example, the WFP’s poll’s scope makes sense ostensibly for their having paid for it. It answers questions about the level of potential WFP supporters.
I highly doubt the Coons campaign isn’t on board with a WFP communique.

The only people those crooks worked for is themselves. Lofink by far is the slimiest given his son’s gift to Delaware. Can’t wait to see the stuff on his wife Janet Kilpatrick in her race. If she survives the primary the Democrats will have a field day and it will be another big loss for the GOP in an area they should hold with no problem.
Ooops, I was wrong. Roger Roy drew more state money in to his house. $100k for his fraud TMA, $50k legislative salary, and $70k + for his wife to run the Delaware Health Care Commission.
And what’s Roger Roy doing now? He’s a lobbyist with the following for clients. From the ironically-named Public Integrity Commission:
