I went to stand in line to get tickets to the Coons – O’Donnell debate at UD this morning. When I arrived at 9:30 (tickets “sales” started at 10) there was already a line of 40 or 50 people. Some had folding chairs and had been there for hours.
In line, some people felt free to discuss politics and did so in a reasonable fashion. However, there were some odd statements made me fear for the republic… But that is standard fare for this year.
In the end, there were only 80 tickets available for non-students in New Castle County. Since people could get 2 tickets each, the tickets didn’t make it to me. I guess I’ll be watching from the comfort of my own home.
