About That “Nice” Christine O’Donnell
One thing that’s been driving me crazy lately is all this characterization of Christine O’Donnell as “nice.” Now, I don’t know her personally, but I do believe she is probably personally pleasant and charming. But we seem to have a new definition of “nice.” A “nice” person doesn’t accuse their political opponent of being gay or needing “man pants.” A “nice” person doesn’t lie and say their opponent is a “Marxist.”
Jezebel posts that Christine O’Donnell’s new “Taxman” ad is even nastier than I thought. It’s a riff on an viral internet video of Antoine Dodson. Antoine Dodson’s TV interview after the attempted rape of his sister became an internet sensation (I had never seen it before):
In the video he says “hide your kids, hide your wife.” Apparently the rant got remixed and passed around. Luckily it worked out for the family because he was able to buy the family a new house.
In O’Donnell’s commercial she uses “hide your will, hide your lights.”
I guess pointing out that this is disgusting makes me not nice.

When I saw the “Taxman” ad on CNN, my jaw dropped and I had to rewind it to make sure I had heard correctly.
Internet memes are legit political ads now? Classy.

When I heard this I thought it was some kind of Biblical coded message.
I’d like to add here, what’s so outrageous about charging people to put streetlights in? Are they free or something?

In DC, PEPCO (Delmarva Power) took care of streetlight installation and maintenance. At least they did when I lived there.
About the Coons O’Donnell debate . . .
After O’Donnell spoke logical clear words in answer to the commentator questions; Coons would act as though he did not understand what Christine O’Donnell was saying.
Coons really can’t be that thick, therefore, it must of been an act by him a political maneuver that failed.
Give us an example of the clear words, and Coons’s reaction. I’ll check it out.

The words were clear…but the content was so broad and often off base…that she was difficult to respond to. Fighting the Russians in Afghanistan?
That said…Coons constant “I don’t know where to start..” and “30 seconds isn’t enough” lines got annoying.

M, i heard Crazy Chrissy clearly speak WORDS. lots of words came out of her mouth, and yes… she did seem to articulate them and use good diction…. rather surprisingly well for a teabagger. But clear arguments or real answers? ……..naaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
