Tune in tonight at 7:00 PM to listen to the only scheduled debate between Jim Westhoff and Dave Wilson.

Jim has been campaigning extremely hard, knocking on hundreds of doors in the 35th and is eager for the chance to debate his opponent.

If you want to attend the debate in person, it will be at Crossroads Community Church, 20864 State Forest Road, Georgetown. The doors open at 6:15 PM.

  1. June says:

While waiting for the debate to come on, I learned that the phrase “separation of church and state” is not in our Constitution but it is in the Soviet constitution, which is fitting for a bearded Marxist to bring up.

  2. Aoine says:

June..I will be gentle…this is my first time with you out of the box

The words are not in the 1st but the idea and intent are

Please read Jefferson letter to the danbury baptists..written Jan 1 1802 where he makes the actual statement…and the intent is clear…build a wall of seperation between church and state

You may find the link on the other thread and also the text …either go to the other thread and read it OR look it up
Either way….educate yourself preferably. BEFORE you vote
    Thanks

  3. Joe Cass says:

Which Soviet Constitution June? There are several.

  4. MJ says:

June, I won’t be gentle. You’re full of shit.

  5. Joe Cass says:

But you won’t read it, will you June? You are a disingenuous sow.
“Since Jefferson coined the phrase “wall of separation between church and state” in 1802, a full 145 years before the Soviet provision was written, it is obviously incorrect to suggest that the Soviets pioneered the separation principle.”

    Open wide, baggger.

  6. June says:

None of you nice folks know me so you didn’t understand my sense of humor. I was repeating what I heard on the downstate radio station “tongue in cheek.” What I said was exactly what I heard, including the bearded marxist reference. As a left-wing liberal who has been working for Chris Coons, I am astounded at the names I’ve been called, but it’s sort of funny, I guess. I’m a big Jim Westhoff supporter too, by the way.

  7. MJ says:

Then June, you should let people know you’re being snarky. We have a lot of trolls on this site.

  8. Joe Cass says:

I apologize, June. I suck eggs.

  9. Aoine says:

Me too June…we are so used to the trolls in here intent is hard to discern via post only

As lesat now you know where we stand: UNITED behind Coons and against O’Donnell….glad to have you aboard.

    Are we forgiven?

  10. Miscreant says:

“We have a lot of trolls on this site.”

That is clearly evident from the initial responses Why was I the only one who didn’t need her to explain what she meant?.

    June,
Please allow me to apologize for these barbarians.

  11. Aoine says:

Miscreant. I can speak for my self. Thanks. And I did so

COD might be you…but she’s not me

And coming in on the backend on a monday night quarter-back souding oh so high minded just makes you look worse.

Easy to come from behind instead of stepping up first…is COD writing a book on political action and u r taking noted….coz that is a COD MOVE YOU JUST PULLED

It doesn’t and won’t work for her…it didn’t work for you

The definitation of insanity is doing the same thing over and over….but expecting a different result….

    Sound like you?

  12. Miscreant says:

We definitely need a snark button here.
    Nice rant, though.
    .
    .
Please, carry on. It’s a prime example of the humorless, extreme left mentality.

  13. Jefferson says:

Westhoff clearly is the superior candidate and human being and hopefully the voters in the 35th reward him in two weeks!

  14. MJ says:

Jim did quite well considering the debate set-up. The questions were being posed by the 9/12 “patriots” and the Delaware Family Policy Council (think a local version of Fuckus on the Family). Not a friendly crowd, but he held his own.

  15. PSB says:

I think that Jim should have slipped in a “Hey Dave, nice passion in that closing speech. Why couldn’t you use an ounce of it during your two wasted years in Dover as our representative?”

  16. MJ says:

PSB – actually, Jim did say something to Wilson as they were exiting the stage, and it was something along those lines.

  17. PSB says:

it wasn’t snarky enough, in my book 🙂
