Scary Muslims and Their Scary Clothes
Juan Williams was fired because he has a perfectly reasonable fear of all Muslims and their crazy attire.
Here is a website that can help you identify “Muslim garb” in order to have the right amout of fear when you see these people on an airplane.
I can’t join the fairly pervasive liberal sentiment about NPR’s justification for firing Juan Williams. I don’t think the firing was justified. I don’t care for Juan Williams and I don’t think that he qualifies as much of a liberal. Nevertheless, I care even less for the principle that NPR has reified: namely, that it is perfectly OK for an employer to fire someone simply because he has a fear and expressed it. I think that principle, that practice, is tyrannical.
But NPR does not deserve to lose its federal support because of it.
In the current political climate, the moderates of the opposing parties are the ones taking the hits.
Juan Williams is a mediocre hack who should have been canned 10 years ago.
Dana, you take unflattering pictures at Point-to-Point. You’re fired!
lose some weight and grow some hair! You’re fired!
FfffIiiiiRrrrrrrrd

Which isn’t exactly what they did, but the massive effort to work the refs over this thing thank you for picking up their story.
He expressed a fear and then tried to justify his fear as rational, as opposed to irrational, which is what it was. It is very different to say “I have an irrational fear of Group X, which I struggle with” than to say “I have a fear of Group X, and I’m justified in being afraid of Group X because of made-up Reason Y.”
I think most south-paws would agree NPR screwed the pooch in dealing with their “Juan Williams” problem.
Dumping him without “due process”,as I see it,seemed too immediate and harsh. Coming in the near history of the Sharrod fiasco causes even more questions to arise as to their true motives.
Believe me, I am NO FAN of Williams.
The NPR CEO has apologized and will probably be forced out and killed by an angry mob, so it is all good.
ACK-AK-AK-AK-AK…..Good one Jason.
Juan Williams was canned for speaking the truth. If he had said
“if i see a catholic priest on a plane, i get worried he may molest me” do you think he would have been canned? no way.
because libs protect terrorists, and hate america.
“because libs protect terrorists, and hate america”
I love America. It’s its fan club I can’t stand.
