FLOWERS WINS.
Here is a new thread for the last two statewide nailbiters. There is one precinct left to report in both. Flower’s lead has increased since the last update, and I am calling the Treasurer’s race for him. Bonini can go back to not doing his job in the Senate. And Korn has surprised me all night. He has made Wagner sweat more than he has ever sweat before, but with only 1 precinct left, I think he will fall just short.

Well—I’m calling it for Flowers—and all I can say is he has El Som to thank for his victory. That WDEL interview was manna from heaven to Flowers campaign, and ElSom totally should bask in that expose’ he shared with Delaware voters that day–I hope there is some gainful employment for him to that end. But for the record, I voted for Bonini. He was always responsive to any inquiry or request I made. Too bad El Som couldn’t get him over that itty bitty hump of winning difference. Flowers owes you Taco Man!!!!
I had a hunch that Korn might pull off a victory in a squeaker. But he made it awfully close. His GOTV effort was tremendous during the end of the campaign. He obviously had a message that resonated w/ many Delawareans. He deserves high praise for nearly upsetting a popular Republican incumbent.
I agree about Korn. He ran a great race.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME JASON???? Flowers ran a great race. Korn was lazy, and ran a 72 hour last minute “let’s throw a grenade” race. You can’t be that myopic.
Well, at least I did pretty good on these two on UI’s thread:
AG- Biden 78%, Campbell 22%
Treasurer: Flowers 50%+, Bonini 49%+
I haven’t bothered to look at the local races. Still making me ill. Let’s just say, I lost the bet to ‘Geek, which means he buys me the beer. It was the “insurance” play in blackjack!
I agree with you about Flowers. Korn lost by 3,000 or so votes. Even thought he never personally knocked on my door, that number tells a story.
Did Korn knock on anyone’s door? He thought he could ride the coattails of Carney and Coons!
I’m a registered Libertarian. I voted for Flowers, Korn, Coons & Navarro 5 mins after the polls closed.
I’ve been voting since the late 1980s & I have never voted for a Biden & I never will. Carney is one of Ruth Ann’s minions & he’ll never receive my vote. I held my nose & voted for the guy who claims to be “on my side”. I did this with the full knowledge that the hook-nosed leech had NO chance of defeating Carney.
I live in Korn’s neck of the woods & I’ve never even seen the man in public. He needs to learn how to run a “retail” campaign.
