Elizabeth Edwards Is Seriously Ill
Very sad news – Elizabeth Edwards probably only has weeks to live.
A source close to the family tells CBS News, “She is dying.” The source said Edwards would likely die within weeks and possibly days.
Edwards, 61, posted to her personal Facebook page a message to friends reading in part, “The days of our lives, for all of us, are numbered. We know that.”
CBS News has confirmed that the Edwards family, including husband John, are now gathered with Elizabeth Edwards at the family home in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
“You all know that I have been sustained throughout my life by three saving graces – my family, my friends, and a faith in the power of resilience and hope,” Edwards wrote in the Facebook post. “These graces have carried me through difficult times and they have brought more joy to the good times than I ever could have imagined.”
“…there are certainly times when we aren’t able to muster as much strength and patience as we would like,” she added. “It’s called being human. But I have found that in the simple act of living with hope, and in the daily effort to have a positive impact in the world, the days I do have are made all the more meaningful and precious. And for that I am grateful. It isn’t possible to put into words the love and gratitude I feel to everyone who has and continues to support and inspire me every day. To you I simply say: you know.”

That’s sad. She is good people.
This is truly very sad news. Elizabeth Edwards has been a captivating personality as she has
shown unbelievable strength, grace and courage with personal issues on a very public stage. Although I’ve only known her through the TV and media, I admire her tremendously. Elizabeth, you are an inspiration to us all! May you and your family be comforted in your time of need. My prayers go out
to you and your children. God Bless You!
Ms. Edwards has and will always be a sincere inspiration to all Americans.
She embodies the highest degree of class and dignity which is quite rare.
She and her family are in our prayers.
Thoughts and prayers to her and her family.
I remember meeting her back in 2000 at a fundraiser she and John were hosting for Mary Landrieu. She was so down-to-earth, telling everyone to make themselves at home. Just a sweet person.
So, why aren’t you classless folks badmouthing her the way you would say, Bob Novak?
Mike, why aren’t you sucking my dick?
I wish with all my being that a special place in hell be reserved for John when his time arrives.
I’d like to use my comment on this post to point out that John Edwards is a dick.
Jason – I’ll pass. I’m sure you can find someone to do it. Maybe Nemski.
