As cassandra_m wrote last month, New Castle County Executive Paul Clark’s firewall “isn’t even a proper fig leaf”. Clark’s recent “refusal to reappoint Planning Board member Mark Weinberg” is beginning to worry some that Clark’s marriage to Pam Scott, a land developer attorney, will be a greater influence than it ever was. Bill Dunn, activist and frequent Delaware Liberal commentator, said:
“The Weinberg situation implies there will be a purging of people who will not support the things the Clark administration is trying to accomplish. They will be looking to replace anybody who has been problematic for them and I expect it will only get worse.”
Delaware is a small state and the counties are even smaller, but is a marriage bed where New Castle County decisions should be made?
