Tea Party Takes Over the Maine GOP
One of the continuing stories/themes these days is just what effect, short-term and long-term, the Tea Party movement will have on American politics in general, and the Republican Party specifically. Mock it all you want (please, mock it…it’s fun!), but the Tea Party is a real force right now. For proof, look no farther (further?) […]
Episode 2 of C’mon Delaware
Jason330 and Donviti have created their latest podcast. Just like U2’s album, Pop, it is over-engineered and over-produced. Nonetheless, it is available here for your enjoyment. The words that Jason used to describe this episode are: Michael Castle, Secret word, puff knuckle, RSmitty, Donviti = asshole, not haters, Stroke, Jet Magazine, Gandolf, Anson Williams, Vasectomy, […]
G. A. Post-Game Wrap-Up/Pre-Game Show Feat. “Amendment of the Year”: May 12, 2010
Only the absence of Monsignor Lavelle (who might’ve been laying low following the release of the Bradley Report, since he was one of only two legislators opposing a longer statute of limitations on civil suits against pedophile pediatricians) dampened the atmosphere for the passage of universal recycling legislation yesterday by a 26-12 vote. It’s just not the same w/o his pompous and ponderous pontifications. He might’ve even cried again. Rep. Joseph Miro, who was a sponsor of the bill, went ‘Not Voting’ on the roll call. Guess he hopes he can have it both ways in what may well be a tough reelection campaign.
Morning Round Em Up
Good Morning Delaware Liberals. Wow, what a news day yesterday. So busy that we did not have much time for national news. So let’s catch up.
Tornoe’s Toon: Those 9-year old Perverts
Cross-posted at Laugh! So Delaware can simultaneously have some of the toughest set of rules in the nation when it comes to registering sex offenders who are younger than 14 (at least one in Delaware is as young as 9), yet our system couldn’t come together over a course of 15 years to prosecute a […]
Teababies Protest Lowest Taxes In 60 Years
Taxes are at their lowest rate in 60 years, according an analysis by USA Today.
Biden and Brady
Now that it appears Beau Biden is going to be fine after suffering a mild stroke yesterday, it is time to talk about the political ramifications of the Ammon Report on the Bradley case. You are saying to yourself right now that this case is not political, and no one should be playing politics with […]
SB 234 Passes
The House has passed the Universal Recycling bill, 26 to 12, with 1 present but not voting and 2 absent. ‘Bulo will cover the meat of this tomorrow in his daily legislative roundup, specifically as to what amendments passed and were defeated, but I wanted to pass along the result and Governor’s statement, which is below:
Signs of a Stroke
Susan Regis Collins passes this along in light of today’s events. Given Beau’s youth and relative good health until today, any of us are susceptible to a stroke, and it better to have the below knowledge than not:
God Wants Glenn Urquhart to Win
I guess because his first name starts with the letter “G” too, or something. But Bill Colley speaking for God is not the story. The story is that WGMD talkshow host and blogger Bill Colley apparently is now a bought and paid for shill for the Glenn Urquhart campaign.
