A Bacon Rap song? Everything else in th world is being made of bacon, but some people have too much time on their hands here:
New Senate Poll Gives Castle A 18 Point Lead (Updated)
Coons has obviously increased his name recognition, but still lags behind. This race will be an uphill battle for Coons and I think he can win, but he needs to start generating some excitement. I think that excitement starts with the grassroots Democrats.
Friday Open Thread
Welcome to Friday. If you’ve noticed that I haven’t been around so much, it’s because I’m absolutely swamped at work. It looks like you kept yourself entertained without me. So let’s open this thread. Why? The Charleston Post and Courier reports the final divorce hearing for South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford (R) will be televised […]
Paterson Ends Gubernatorial Campaign
The New York Times bombshell on Paterson’s possible intervention to cover up domestic violence by an aide has convinced Paterson to end his campaign: Less than 48 hours after the New York Times revealed in a bombshell story that the administration of Gov. David Paterson had intervened in the domestic violence case of a top […]
3 Pit-Bull Attacks In 3 Days
I found this amazing and horrifying. THE BLOODY paw prints were still in the snow, and a bunch of white gauze lay nearby. The pinkish snow was packed down where two pit bulls had attacked a 10-year-old boy – severely injuring his right arm and puncturing his neck, left arm and back with their teeth […]
Things I Learned From Ron Williams
This week’s Ron Williams column in the News Journal was more informative than usual. I learned the following:
- Anthony Wedo is rich.
- Anthony Wedo is not running for the DE-AL U.S. House seat, did I mention that Wedo is rich?
- Richard Korn has black hair, is from New York and has a New York accent.
Highlights Of The Health Care Reform Summit
Daily Kos compiled a video of some of the highlights from Democratic legislators during today’s health care summit. I’d like to add, Louise Slaughter rocks!
Thursday Open Thread
As of writing this, I’m still waiting for this latest snowstorm, the “snowicane” to start. It sure was nice of the snowstorm to hold off until everyone gets to work to start! Today’s open thread is a “governors behaving badly” version of your open thread. Let’s roll! It looks like the Gov. David Paterson bombshell […]
Rasmussen Polls Delaware
Take it with a boulder of salt, but according to the poll, President Obama has a 51% approval rating, versus a 48% disapproval rating; Governor Markell has a 61% approval rating, versus a 37% disapproval rating; and Castle leads Coons 53% to 32%. 8% prefer some other candidate (O’Donnell?? Anti-Coons or Pro-Biden sentiment?) and 8% are unsure.
Health Care Summit Thread
Might as well put up a thread. Begins at 10:00. If you’re watching please add your thoughts in the comment’s section. I hope to catch a lot of this.
Fiscal Conservatives Don’t Want To Cut Spending
Conservatives do a lot of posturing about the deficit, which they only discovered the existence of on January 20, 2009. I remember the good ol’ days of the early Bush presidency when the problem was the surplus. Well, conservatives are apparently extremely upset with the deficit now, but taxes are still bad (in fact we […]
