  1. Jim Westhoff says:

One. It’s an heirloom that my Dad entrusted to me a few weeks before he died. It’s a .22 WRF, made by Winchester in about 1890, we think. We have some rounds, and my and I shoot at targets a couple of times a year. We don’t hunt with the gun, because it’s just too valuable to my family.

  2. Capt.Willard says:

At 14 I shot a squirrel with a Remington Scoremaster my father handed down to me.I regretted the shot as I held the limp body in my hands.
I left the woods, cleaned my rifle and put it away in my parents basement.I took the squirrel to a friend to cook for me and ate it with him later. The first bite was the hardest.
Recently, my da came upon the gun and called me wanting to know if I wanted it.
    Yes, of course I did.
I have it now. After forty some years,no rust and the action just as smooth as the day I put it away.
I have no son or daughter to pass it on to so they might find for themselves whether they like to hunt for their supper.

I don’t have any guns because I have a Very Bad Temper.

  4. anon says:

I don’t have any guns because I have been known to enjoy alcohol a bit too much. I was always a happy drunk, and I haven’t been really blotto for many years now as I get older, but the stakes are still too high.

  5. Mike says:

You probably shouldn’t own guns Cassandra. That’s your choice of course.
