While wingnuts weep, and gnash their teeth with dread at the notion that homos live and work amongst us, the Marines go about the business of being professional and loyal to the Constitution and the Commander-in-Chief.
…I want to be clear to all Marines. We will step out smartly to faithfully implement this new law.
It is important that we value the diversity of backgrounds, culture ands skills that all Marines bring to the service of our nation. As we implement repeal, I want leaders at all levels to reemphasize the importance of maintaining fidelity and respect for one and all throughout our force. We are Marines we care for one another and respect the rights of all that wear this uniform.
We will continue to demonstrate the American people the discipline and fidelity that have been the hall mark of the United States Marine Corps for more 275 years and will continue well into the future.

Hey — I’m all for that approach. Discharge those who cannot work with gays, just like they discharged those who can’t work with blacks. Hopefully, though, they will also discharge gay militants who cannot work with Christians who dare to have different moral views than they do.
