Christine O’Donnell is in the news again. This time it’s because once again she sneaks through without criminal charges in her use of campaign funds. Funny how this almost coincides with the release of her book “Troublemaker.” She plans on going on the offensive against CREW, who brought the charges of campaign finance violations to the attention of U.S. attorneys.
“We’re going on the offensive, and it’s time to bring CREW to justice for their slimy tactics,” said attorney Rich Abbott, a Republican from Hockessin.
Abbott said he was not at liberty to discuss O’Donnell’s next move against CREW, but that it would be announced soon.
On Thursday, Abbott initiated an offensive that he said has been months in the making by asking Oberly’s office to investigate CREW for filing a criminal complaint that he claims contains “false statements.”
Separately, a friend of O’Donnell’s is seeking to have CREW executive director Melanie Sloan, an attorney who grew up in Wilmington, disbarred in the state of Virginia.
“We were beginning the offensive regardless of this dismissal by the U.S. Attorney’s Office,” Abbott said Saturday.
I wonder how her book pre-sales are going. Is she still a Tea Party rockstar or has she been upstaged by the new darling, Michele Bachmann. I’m also wondering what office O’Donnell will run for next – for U.S. Senator against Carper or for Governor against Markell?
