A video showing some kids watching The Empire Strikes Back for the first time, at the moment of the reveal. Warning, contains SPOILERS (and if this applies to you, for shame).

That’s good parenting.

    What a neat little kid.

Chris Christie was at the UD game yesterday. first when we saw the BOMB SQUAD truck (which i have never seen at a game before in the almost 10 years i’ve been going) and way more police than usual, then the two large SUVs and the towncar with the guys in suits with with Secret Service earpieces we all assumed it was Biden. He’s come to a few games since 2008 but i’ve never seen anything that intense for him. then we noticed the SUVs had jersey plates. sigh. he was sitting in a box on the left hand side.

Fleets of hot dog & soft pretzel trucks?

  4. Occupy DE says:

We could use those fleets of hot dog and soft pretzels showing up at Occupy DE when it begins, lol!

Vick straps the team on his back, throws 4 passes to the other team, and loses another one. Eagles are now 1-7 in their last 8 games. But Vick still gets his almost $1 million per game payday.

    Bring in the existentialist.

  6. jason330 says:

Vick can’t make the receivers hold onto the ball after they catch it. But yeah. The Eagles suck.

  7. anonone says:

No quarterback can make the receivers hold onto the ball after they catch it. So what? Vick makes some nice highlight-reel plays, but he can’t win big games. Never has, and unfortunately, probably never will.

Gannett CEO retires with $37 million golden parachute

CEO who laid off thousands gets $37 million retirement package

This story sums up pretty much everything that is wrong with corporate America today.

Oh – and no more MomsLikeMe as of this Friday Oct. 14:

The same day as Dubow’s resignation, Ganett announced — via internal memo rather than press release — that it will be shutting down its network of 90 MomsLikeMe websites.

That may be the bigger event for the industry, since Gannett has long touted the mom websites as a digital hit — targeted to a demographic that had lots to talk about with each other and was a good fit for advertisers of baby goods, summer camps and the like.
