Smackdown – Round 2

Filed in National by on November 8, 2011

In today’s main event, we find House Majority Leader Pete Schwartzkopf knocking the white shoe polish off of St. Bodie Girl’s high heels.

The purpose of this letter is not to render judgment. I want to comment on what was said after the night in question. I was stunned to hear one of the GOP leaders, Eric Bodenweiser, go on the radio and proclaim that this kind of action was “great publicity for the Republican Party.”

He said quite a few things that morning that I found to be incredibly alarming. He made light of the physical altercation saying, “That’s how we settle things” in Sussex. Having been a police officer in our state for 25 years, that is not only unacceptable, but you have to wonder what kind of message he is sending to the kids of our county — if someone disagrees with your position, then just duke it out? We are better than that.

St. Bodie Girl has shown his true colors – that of a violent moron. I guess he thinks that the Sussex GOP is more manly because they take their disagreements outside to settle.

Then I read The News Journal article on Oct. 29 that said: “One GOP leader suggested Friday that Phillips should offer Christopher a deal: Give the sheriff what he seeks politically… in exchange for Christopher’s not pressing charges.” Also, “If I was the county councilman… right now I’d be looking to get this thing taken care of. I’d say, ‘Gee, Jeff, what is it going to take to get this going away?’ ‘Well, how about some training and certification for my deputies? What about some squad cars?’ ” said Eric Bodenweiser, chairman of the 37th District Republican committee, on a local talk radio show. “Sometimes business gets done this way.”

Yeah, St. Bodie Girl suggested, live from Jimmy’s Grill in Bridgeville, that Vance Phillips bribe the sheriff with new cars and training to “make this go away.”

We always knew that St. Bodie Girl was a bit crooked. But to publicly advocate for one elected official to bribe another is beyond belief. He has (had) plans to challenge Joe Booth again for the Senate seat next year. My guess is that St. Bodie Girl has shot himself in those high heels once again.

I bet in the next picture St. Bodie Girl pulls down his jeans to show the world his thong.

  2. MJ says:

Thanks, Skip. I just threw-up in my mouth.

  3. skippertee says:

    Sorry,MJ.

  4. Frank Knotts says:

MJ, you and I disagree on so many things. This is not one of them. As a member of the GOP, Mr. Bodenweiser’s comments do not represent the larger segment of the GOP. It is not how we do things, and we never encourage such behaviour.

  5. Real American says:

MJ Frank is wrong that is just how the GOP is in Sussex, just listen to there bull horn Bill Colley and his moron callers.

  6. reis says:

When I see that picture I can’t help thinking of Dukakis riding the tank.

I don’t know one republican in a leadership position in the state that agrees with what Bodenweiser said about the sheriff and the councilman.
I told him personally that he should retract that statement, the same day he made the statement on live talk radio.

  8. MJ says:

    Don/Frank,

What gets me is that Bodie now says it was all a joke. Funny, when I heard him on Dan’s show that day, he sounded very serious. Dan even gave him a chance to back away from his comment and he just added to it.

  9. socialistic ben says:

Rush Limbaugh is one of the few pigs with enough ________ (insert organ associated with fortitude here) to not weasel out of his horrible comments with “it was a joke”. In addition to being offensive tbags, these guys are also spineless cowards.

  10. Aoine says:

    Don/Frank

We know that Bodie does not represent all republicans.. However, many of you supported him last election cycle and he has proven to be a canker sore in your party, along with Christopher and others.

to be succinct: we like our majority, alot

but balance is important. It does no one any good to be lopsided.

So please, clean it up over there and lets get on with the people’s business, instead of stopping to waste time with immature egos that have money to burn and no sense of decorum.

What has been allowed to happen to your party is a shame. The in-fighting is embarassing and it has been all out war for years now.
and always slamming the other side, just for their views does not win friends or influence anyone either.

    thanks in advance.

  11. It was just a matter of time before my brothers true colors came out! Been following this and LMAO now. Should he actually still be thinking about challenging Joe Booth it won’t be pretty for him. I’m much better prepared now. I have a bucket of rocks smarter than my brother and it’s a whole lot nicer than he ever thought of being. I told all of you he’s EVIL. I tried to warn you good people in Sussex. I will try to get to the site and update soon…
SO glad I posted that pic long ago!! PERFECT !!!

  12. reis says:

    Oh no you di-ent.

  13. anon says:

Frank and Don-show me where Sheriff Christopher or any other GOP elected official put out a statement condemning what Bodenweiser said on the air.

MJ is right, it wasn’t a “joke” Gaffney gave Bodenweiser a chance to retract that statement and he didn’t.

Look at Eric Bodenweiser, he IS the face of the new GOP.
