Thursday Daily Delawhere [11.10.11]
Yeah, you will never be able to guess this. But I loved this picture, so I posted it anyway. It’s a park in New Castle County, but not in the City of Wilmington. So Alpocas, Rockford and Brandywine are out.

Valley Garden.
white clay creek state park…. just up the hill from the pavilion area.
Taken from my backyard yesterday.
Is it Lums Pond? I think I have hit all of those trees with a golf disc at some point (potentially on a single throw).
OK, Valley Garden was just a wild ass guess, based on the clues that DD suggested he would use his own photos, DD lives somewhere north of Wilmington (I think), and it is a park NOT in the city.
Looking at the photo, it is a relatively new-growth forest, with tall skinny trees, and not much variety in species. So it is someplace which was pasture not long ago, which rules out Valley Garden I think (unless it is some edge area).
And I think I see sky beyond the treeline, which suggests an open field or a body of water. So abandoning my first premise, I’ll guess… Carousel?
I don’t think it’s Carousel. That’s old growth.
True, but are a lot of new growth areas in Carousel.
Otherwise, White Clay and Middle Run are huge parks with all kinds of forests. No way to tell. The Woodlawn Trust lands would be a good guess but are technically not a park.
alright. JSG, where is it?
