Because it is Va Tech where another high profile shooting took place, it is big news that gunshots were reported on Virginia Tech’s campus this morning.
Here’s the alert from the university’s website:
Suspect described as white male, gray sweat pants, gray hat w/neon green brim, maroon hoodie and backpack. On foot towards McComas. Call 911.
It is just the price we pay for freedom. There are going to be deranged people getting guns in this society and those deranged individuals are going to kill some people.
We’ve accepted the trade off. If this was a college in the mid-west, I’m not sure it would be breaking news.
