Remember earlier this week when the Senate struck down the “Buffett Rule” bill and said that the Democrats and President Obama war just playing politics? Well, FYI, Republicans, it’s always politics and the Obama Administration has come up with an doozy for September – the threat of a government shutdown. The gist of what is happening is that Obama and the House Republicans agreed debt deal last year and now the House leadership, under pressure from the Tea Party, is beginning to undermine the deal that they made. Jeffrey Zents, the acting director of the White House’s Office of Management and Budget sent a letter to Capitol Hill:
Until the House of Representatives indicates that it will abide by last summer’s agreement, the President will not be able to sign any appropriations bills.
I really wish the Obama Administration would govern like they campaign — which is really, really good.
