Jeb Bush told NewsMax (sorry, no links to NewsMax in my lifetime) that he would consider being Mitt Romney’s running mate.
“Well I’d consider it, but I doubt I’ll get a call, and I don’t know if it’s the right thing for me to do. I didn’t run for president for a similar kind of reason, so I’m all in to try to help him get elected.”
Hahahahaha. First Rice, now a Bush. If there is one family whose enter lineage must be disqualified from office for all eternity it is the Bushes. Romney can’t possibly be thinking of putting a Bush on the ticket. And if he is, he is by far the dumbest politician I have ever encountered.
Meanwhile, yesterday we saw the hilarity of the tracking polls of both Gallup and Rasmussen showing Romney winning nationally contrasted with two Fox News polls showing Obama winning both Ohio and Florida, the later by very comfortable margins. Today, the hilarity is more direct. We still have Rasmussen Tracking showing Romney winning, but now Rasmussen’s own poll of Ohio shows Obama winning.
NATIONAL–PRESIDENT (Gallup Tracking): Romney 47, Obama 44
NATIONAL–PRESIDENT (Rasmussen Tracking): Romney 46, Obama 45
OHIO–PRESIDENT (Rasmussen): Obama 46, Romney 42
OHIO–SENATOR (Rasmussen ):Sen. Sherrod Brown (D) 44, Josh Mandel (R) 41
A new CNN/Opinion Research survey finds 43% of Americans say things are going well in the country, up a whopping 19 points from August.
