Salem Unit 1 Reactor Offline

Since Monday, the Unit 1 reactor just over the river has been offline after several failures.

PSEG Nuclear said Tuesday that its Salem Unit 1 reactor would remain idle for an undetermined period while workers investigate failures that led to an automatic shutdown and false fire alarms in the plant’s containment building on Monday morning.
