DL Tracking Poll: Denn Leads by Landslide Margins

Filed in Delaware by on June 4, 2012

The spammers were not out in force during this poll of the Lt. Governor’s race, so I guess we have a more accurate reflection of our readers’ views on the race. Now, normal caveats apply: this is a non-random unscientific internet poll.

But, DL readers favor incumbent Lt. Governor Matt Denn (D) over Republican Sher Valenzuela by a 53 point margin, 72% to 19%.

Moving on to our next general election matchup: the now exciting three way U.S. Senate race.

Lt. Governor Matt Denn is a good person and is one of the most authentic persons in elected office I have ever known. He has deep and genuine concerns for the needy and does far more to help them than he advertises. He is also quite smart. I saw him argue cases in courtrooms and he was one of the best lawyers I had ever seen in action, and I have seen many. He deserves reelection. I hope he becomes Governor someday.

I concur with Dana’s opinion, but really believe he should be President. He’s the best I’ve seen in 30 years of political involvement. My only concern would be that he would literally work himself to death as President; literally.

and the right would attack him for sleeping on the job.

Thank you for including Andrew Groff in the new poll.

I’ve been trying to get a response from Sher Valenzuela about her ad; which regulations have harmed her business? One can only assume she’s SO caught up in the constitution that the founders wouldn’t want her to reply. They wouldn’t have given her a vote but surely would’ve loaded her up with deflection.

@Joe Cass–I couldn’t agree more, and we don’t agree very often. RWNJs love to go off about “excessive regulation” but rare is the time when they can cite a specific regulation and/or a specific amount of time or money it actually COSTS them.
