Worthy?
Who says something like this? After Gabby Giffords was shot Republicans were screaming about not “politicizing” the event, screeching about how “now was the time to think about the victims.” They were all about showing “respect” for the victims and their families.
Worthy? What the hell does that mean? Well, since he’s a conservative, my bet is it’s about sex.

Agreed. Piece of shit. I also disagree with the NRA line that you can’t talk about our effed up gun politics when people get murdered by assault weapons wielding nutcases. When the fuck should we talk about our effed up laws?
Those women (not girls) will spend the REST OF THEIR LIVES thanking those men every day and hoping that they do enough to honor their memory. Way to kick someone when they can’t get any lower, James.
They were worthy according to the men who loved them enough to take lethal bullets for them without a second thought. That’s enough.
I guess we could expect this from James Taranto in an emergency:

I really have trouble wrapping my mind around the undercurrent of sadism and cruelty that seems synonymous with “Republican.”
Frank: Try hitting yourself in the head with a hammer for a few minutes. Stop when you get really dizzy and see if you don’t have the sudden urge to register as a Republican.
So you’re suggesting I do it to myself and save them the trouble of robocalling me?
Exactly. My way is the shortcut. Be careful, though. Too many blows to the head and they’ll make you run for office on the Delaware GOP ticket. 😉
Let’s ask the women what they think.

I believe Mr. Taranto is not worthy of any sacrifice.
