India in 2nd Day of huge power outage
600 million people without electricity is a hell of a lot of people without electricity.
NEW DELHI — India’s blackout spread to cover more than half the country on Tuesday, as the electrical grid collapsed in 14 states in the country’s north and east, depriving at least 600 million people of power, many for a second day.

There was gridlock on many streets of the capital as traffic lights stopped working. Bank ATMs also failed. The failure is initially being attributed to prolonged heat, causing excess demands on an aging grid. Sound familiar?
And once the humanitarian crisis is dealt with, there will be a huge business cost that will impact the US as well as India.
Tax cuts for people making over $250,000 per year should remedy this.
Too bad the lobbyists for labor unions don’t want decentralized power systems.
Not like that is the problem in India or anything.
