I was listening to him on the way into work. He is in slow boil mode.

  2. puck says:

Republicans have finally fallen victim to their constant need to portray Obama as un-American. Now they are hoist by their own petard.

Too bad JoScar didn’t get the sadness way back when Republicans proposed to finish off the middle class by doubling down on the failed Bush tax cuts and cutting social insurance. Or when Democrats did the same thing, for that matter.

  3. Jason330 says:

It is amazing to me that Steve Schmidt (THE GUY WHO PICKED SARAH PALIN, THE GUY WHO THOUGHT McCAIN SHOULD SUSPEND HIS CAMPAIGN) is regarded as some kind of campaign specialist.

Granted he is currently taking a moderate stance that is very palatable for TV news, but still….

    C’Mon.

  4. Delaware Dem says:

I think Steve Schmidt is trying to get into Heaven now. He has a lot to make up for.

  5. nemski says:

Who better to give commentary on Romney’s failed Presidential campaign other than Steve Schmidt.

Can we talk about THIS? ugh. come on Mika. Watching Joe talk all over you and belittle you on national TV is enraging enough. You dont have to help.

This is the “LIBERAL” morning news? come ON. I need to get CURNT upstairs.

  7. Jason330 says:

From the clip posted this morning, it seems like they are going for some Bruce Willis/Cybill Shepherd ‘Moonlighting’ vibe.

If that is the case, I have one question: … why?

  8. puck says:

Republicans are now telling themselves the lie that lets them sleep at night: that their problem is they simply have a bad candidate. That’s a very useful lie, because picking a bad candidate is a one-time mistake that can be fixed next time. It lets them avoid confronting the fact that the problem is with their policies and attitudes, not with their candidate.

The fact is, any GOP candidate that isn’t trained to say all the things Romney is saying can’t get nominated.

  9. Jason330 says:

100% correct. It is flatly inconceivable to them that their policies and attitudes are problematic.

Although, I have to admit that the piling on Romney is happening a bit sooner than I expected.

  10. puck says:

Is it any surprise that when you look for someone to eliminate taxation for the rich and cut support for the poor and middle class, that only the biggest assholes will answer the call?

  11. socialistic ben says:

puck, to be fair.. Romney is also a pretty bad candidate.

Frankly, I’m enjoying the fact that it is the GOP who is taking on the narrative of “bumbling” this time around.
