Jeff Cragg Turns to Creationist Governor For Fundraising Help

Filed in Delaware by on October 9, 2012

Tonight, Maine Governor Paul LePage will attend a fundraiser for Republican candidate Jeff Cragg as a special guest. If you read today’s News Journal, you know how pitiful Jeff Cragg’s fundraising has been ($60,000 total, $26,250 coming from his own checkbook), so any fundraising help is probably welcome for the Republican gubernatorial candidate.

However, LePage is to the right of Christine O’Donnell in his political views. And he’s just mean. I wonder what the average Delaware Republican would think of Jeff Cragg knowing he’s kowtowing to the far-right knuckle-draggers within the party.

I draw political cartoons in Maine (among other places), so here’s a cartoon I drew about LePage that ruffled some feathers:

Yes, in addition to everything else (he told the NAACP to kiss his butt, promised he’d tell President Obama to “Go to hell” and has compared the IRS to the Nazis on multiple occasions), LePage is a creationist. Here’s video of LePage talking about his support of teaching creationism in public schools (laughably, the reason he states is “knowledge is power”):

    1) Thanks for bringing this idiot’s record to light.

    2) Cragg should have heeded Jan Ting’s advice. “When they tell you that you’d make a great candidate, say ‘Show me the money.'”
