CBS NEWS SNAP POLL of uncommitted voters: 50% Biden won; 31% Ryan; 19% tie

  5. fightingbluehen says:

So the Republicans are clearly against women, and Romney and Ryan are war mongers who want to put American troops in harms way in Afghanistan and Iran.
Remember it was Obama who doubled the amount of troops in Afghanistan Mr. Vice President.

    Yep.

  7. cassandra_m says:

And you remember that those surged troops came home.

But so glad you are seeing it our way!

  8. pandora says:

Ryan was quite clear on outlawing abortion. Wonder what Romney will do with this?

  9. fightingbluehen says:

I think Ryan did a good job considering he had to debate the moderator as well as Biden and his Al Gore like demeanor with the over the top laughing and smirking.
I’ll give it a draw. Still 1-0 in aggregate in favor of Romney, Ryan

  10. Jason330 says:

    Boo hoo

  11. pandora says:

The real loser tonight? The Republican platform. It’s obviously indefensible.

  12. Liberal Elite says:

    I thought Biden was great.

  13. puck says:

I missed the debate but I’ve seen a few clips. First thoughts, I think Biden and Obama need to practice in front of a mirror.

  14. meatball says:

Both my 1st time voter son and my fourteen year old honors civics daughter said Joe won. They thought most of Ryan’s positions were indefensible.

  15. puck says:

The one question I would like to see Ryan answer is – what exactly is the mechanism by which his tax cut plans will produce jobs? It’s great that he is for jobs, but lay out for us how tax cuts will suddenly have a job creating effect after they have failed miserably in the past. More money for the rich to “create jobs” is obviously not the right answer, since they have more money than ever before and jobs suck.

And I’d like to see Biden/Obama make the case more forcefully how the Bush tax cuts destroyed jobs and how expiring the tax cuts will create jobs (there is a case to be made and they need to make it). Otherwise, what job creation mechanism does Obama propose?

  16. Steve Newton says:

    @puck
The one question I would like to see Ryan answer is

. . . how can you drink that much water and never have to pee?

Was there a catheter under that table?

  17. puck says:

He was dehydrated from his P90-X workout. I think I saw Lance Armstrong hand him a brown paper bag.

  18. Rustydils says:

Biden just laughed his way out of the white house

  19. cassandra m says:

Charlie Pierce at Esquire sums it all up:

The ONLY difference between Sarah Palin and Paul Ryan was lipstick.

  20. socialistic ben says:

You’re right Rusty…. i dont see him running in 2016 either. oh well, he’s got 4 more years of Veepyness left. Ryan will be lucky to keep his congressional seat.
