So weird-hair cut Birther King and small businessman Donald Trump, who has had numerous adulterous affairs throughout his life and has been thrice married and twice divorced, has a big announcement scheduled for this afternoon, and in his typical lampoonish style, Trump has described what he will announce as “bordering on gigantic,” a story so big that it would “possibly” change the state of the election.
And what is this annoucement? Well, according to the British tabloid, the Daily Mail, the announcement will concern the discovery by Trump of long lost divorce papers that Michelle Obama had drawn up back in 2000 after Barack lost a U.S. House race to Bobby Rush in 2000.
This rumor is so shocking that we had already heard about it before, back in May, when Edward Klein wrote about them in his Obama bashing book, “The Amateur: Barack Obama in the White House.”
So that’s it, Trumpo? You are going to make a big deal about some trouble the Obamas had in their marriage some 12 years ago? Trouble that has obviously been resolved since the Obamas went on to have, by all accounts, a very loving marriage over the last 12 years that has produced two beautiful and well behaved daughters. You, Trump, are going to make a big deal about an almost divorce? You? Donald Trump?
If this rumor is what Trump is going to announce today it will be the biggest strategic mistake the Republicans can make in the last two weeks. Michelle Obama is the most popular and beloved person in this country. And by all accounts, Americans admire the Obama marriage. So the Republicans, through Donald Trump, and blinded by their hatred of the President, are going to put the Obama marriage front and center, with Michelle in interview after interview proclaiming her love of the President and testifying about how good their marriage has been over the last 12 years? Reminding everyone how marriage is hard work and every couple reaches their tough patches. The Republicans really want the American people to identify MORE with the Obamas? And that is the strategy that will defeat them?
If this is the rumor, then Republicans trying are stupid.
