generally, you dont give a victory speech until after there has been a concession speech…. Romney may not give one just to try and deny Obama his moment. It kinda fits with the kind of party he’s in.

Filibusters always hurt Democrats more than they help them. There are always enough feckless Democrats to vote with Republicans to break any filibuster of a GOP bill – that is, if Democrats even bother to mount a filibuster.
Democrats will happily help create a supermajority for the worst Republican bills. The Bush tax cuts passed in 2010 with 81 Senators. Alito was nominated with 75 votes (after John Kerry phoned in his filibuster from the Swiss Alps). The FISA filibuster failed when 80 Senators voted for it.
The only reason in sight to keep the filibuster might be for Democrats to defy Obama to block a bad Grand Bargain, one that cuts the safety net or expands any of the tax cuts for the rich. And that filibuster will never happen.

Good one, but Delawareans may have a karma of their own sorts due to trying to be incorporated into building highly energy intensive $100,000 cars/indulgences for people like Justin Bieber to save the world with their moral vanity instead of working to lower the bills of little old ladies.
