Giving Thanks for Delaware’s Politicans
People are thankful for many different things by the time Thanksgiving rolls around. Some are thankful for their health. Others are happy they have close friends and a loving family.
I’m thankful for politicians.
Seriously, without those do-nothing bureaucrats wasting taxpayer money, I would have to remove the “political” from my political cartoons. Suddenly, what passed as biting satire about the relevant issues of the day would quickly become an illustrated guide to your Facebook feed.

Why stick to Delaware politicians, Rob? That Big Guy in Jersey has been pretty good to you, too.
I’m digging John Carney’s cartoon soul patch.
@Idealist: HA! I guess I got a bit heavy on my shading.
When I lived in Delaware, I used to describe it as living in a large county. When someone you know is likely to know someone who knows the decision-maker, it is difficult for the decision-maker to lose touch with reality.
Hell, as much as I can deride him for his allegiance to banksters in his recent career, I used to run into Tom Carper at PTA meetings, where he came as father, not as governor.
Delaware can thank itself that most of its members of Congress commute. That they come home to Delaware almost everyday keeps them grounded.
We should be thankful Delaware is free of looney politicians, Sussex excepted.
Sussex is there to remind the rest of us what might happen of the looney tunes ever win high office
I am grateful for Sussex County looney Tunes too…
Peace everyone!
