Distressed by Boehner, wingnut radio star talker calls for third party
I’m pretty sure this is the first time I’ve ever agreed with nutbag Michael Savage.
The conservative radio host Michael Savage Sunday called for a third, “nationalist” American political party to challenge the Republican Party on the right of the political spectrum.
“We need a nationalist party in the United States of America,” said Savage on Aaron Klein’s WABC radio show.
Savage suggests that the “Tea Party” could be the kernel of a newer – more pure – conservative third party. For thier part, the Tea Party seems game:
“People are mad as hell. I’m right there with them,” Amy Kremer, chairman of the Tea Party Express, said late last week, declaring that she has “no confidence” in the party her members typically support. Her remarks came after GOP lawmakers agreed to higher taxes but no broad spending cuts as part of a deal to avert the “fiscal cliff.”
“Anybody that voted ‘yes’ in the House should be concerned” about primary challenges in 2014, she said.
Michael Wiener AKA Savage is a real wing-nut but I wish him well in this endeavor.
Embarrassed republicans are supposed to claim that they are Libertarians. That is the Rule.
I think Savage has an excellent idea. That would leave the GOP with the grownups who might then be able to act like grownups return to responsible governance. We need the balance provided by a two party system, but it needs adult leadership.
It would make our job easier. Instead of bashing all Republicans we could focus on just bashing the splinter “problem” Republicans, allowing people like Kovach not to get caught up in the sweep….

There are times when I wish this blog had a “like” or “thumbs up” button. This is one of those times.
It’s like secessionists in Texas, big talk and sadly no action. After the foaming and rage dies down they realize third parties are a long dead issue in America, it just ain’t gonna happen.
If that were true than Christine O’Donnell and the 2012 GOP candidates in Delaware would have created a wave of Libertarians. Embarrassed Republicans can just become Democrats – it’s not that far of a walk in Delaware.
