How About A Hefty Dose Of Misogyny With Your Violent Rhetoric?
Pete Santilli went on a disgusting rant and caught the attention of the Secret Service who paid him a visit saying…
“We are aware of Mr. Santilli’s comments and will take the appropriate follow up action,” Edwin M. Donovan, a Secret Service spokesperson, told TPM on Monday. “He certainly has a right to free speech, but the Secret Service has a right and an obligation to determine what a person’s intent is when making comments like this.”
And what were those comments?
‘Miss Hillary Clinton needs to be convicted, she needs to be tried, convicted and shot in the vagina,” he said. “I wanna pull the trigger. That ‘C U Next Tuesday’ has killed human beings that are in our ranks of our service. I want to remind you that in Benghazi, Miss Hillary ‘the fricken’ biggest vagina on the face of the planet’ told troops to stand down and to not go in and interfere with the operation that they set up because they’re moving arms; Barack Obama is moving drugs through the CIA out of Afghanistan and Barack Obama needs to be tried, convicted, and shot for crimes against the United States of America.”
Wow. “Shot in the vagina?” “I wanna pull the trigger?” “That ‘C U Next Tuesday’?” “Miss Hillary ‘the fricken’ biggest vagina on the face of the planet’?” “Barack Obama needs to be tried, convicted, and shot?”
Who even thinks to say things like this? In what situation is talk like this justified? Do I think Pete Santilli would act on his words? No… I think he’s issuing directions to one of his lone wolves.

Who even thinks to say things like this?
Someone who is paid to peddle this eliminationist bullshit to an audience who does find this acceptable discourse. For them, the misogyny is baked in the cake especially when a Democratic female is the subject. This guy collects a paycheck to say this stuff. The good news is that on a larger scale this kind of stuff is turning into a real liability for radio stations and networks. Rush Limbaugh’s network, Clear Channel, is losing money big time as advertisers are getting really picky about what kind of speech they want their brands associated with. And the CEO of Cumulus Media told their investors that Limbaugh was costing them money. Which is pretty awesome, since progressive groups are at the forefront of the advertiser boycotts. Time to point all of that at this guy and his station, I think.
He doesn’t have a radio show. He “broadcasts” online.
He has an Internet radio show. Which means that I don’t know if he has the kind of advertisers that over-the-air shows have that can be targeted. Whether he is working within the TOS of his internet provider is another question.
