    It’s a race. What is there not to understand about it? Do you understand horse racing, or bike racing?

    Horse racing is exciting, and also is amenable to a short attention span. If I was interested in cars making left turns for several hours, I can hang out at a traffic intersection for free.

    Maybe drag racing would be more to reis’ liking. Those races are for people with really, really short attention spans.

    Southerners love NASCAR because it has both of their favorite races. Automobile and White.

    Only time I will ever agree with reis…….

    Horses have a mind ( as in a sentient being mind) of their own, they are actually competitive on their own

    Without some fuel jockey with his foot on the gas pedal

    Love horse racing, hate how they now block their feet , use nerve blocks when they have pain and race them into the ground. In my younger days I had horses we raced. They were loved and treated well. They hurt, they didn’t race

    It has changed sadly, now we treat them more like a stock car, can’t replace the part, replace the whole animal, and use it like salvage ….sad

    Make horse racing humane again and I would go

    As FAR as NASCAR GOES, yeah, I can sit at the intersection of 5-points in Sussex on a Saturday am , June to sept and get more entertainment. Even a chance someone will crash into the stands , killing onlookers and /or a driver will be killed

    Yeah, real fun..

    I don’t care what the hell it is. If you can race it, I’ll probably watch it……and possibly gamble on it.
