Late Night Video — How Ed Asner Pissed Off Conservatives

Filed in National by on August 10, 2013

Ed Asner does the voiceover for this very interesting animated short called Tax the Rich: An Animated Fairy Tale, created by the California Federation of Teachers to show how teachers (and other public employees) are targeted to deflect away from how rich people are milking the system. This is good stuff — a little simple, but good narrative. Good enough to get some attention from Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson who are condemning Asner and this video. Good enough for me! This is about 8 minutes long:

I find it interesting that conservatives like to blame unions but, give management a pass. Bad management leads to unions in the first place. In my work with schools the largest factor in the quality of a school is the principle.

Another problem is that many want to use school board positions to help start their political careers. Those gutless hacks are more concerned with their careers that they will not take any unpopular position no matter how right.

As an investor I’m frustrated that Republicans side with the employee if they are management. Shareholders i.e. owners rights are shot down by so called conservative politicians. No surprise there, CEOs direct huge contributions to those politicians. Seems like legalized bribery to me.

Well done and at a level even Tea Baggers can relate to. As for Ed Asner it helps to remember that conservatives are mad at everyone who is not conservative, or even “not conservative enough”.
