Political operatives say they can’t imagine Hillary Clinton not campaigning in 2014 if only because she again has close ties to several candidates, including Pryor, Grimes and New Hampshire Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, whose husband was Clinton’s state chairman in 2008. Guy Cecil, who is charged with preserving the Democratic majority in the Senate as executive director of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, served as Clinton’s field director during her 2008 presidential run.
Hillary News! USA Today is reporting that Hillary might be rolling out the network of people who are promoting her for 2016 for the 2014 Congressional races. Not just in asking supporters to help support selected candidates, but also getting out to campaign for them. This is particularly worth paying attention to since Hillary Clinton has friends in Red States and still has support in those places.
That would be huge for turnout. Also, making sure she had a Democratic Senate for her first term is good is simply good strategic thinking.
