What fresh hell is this? Teen killer George Zimmerman is boxing rapper DMX in some celebrity thing. Seriously, I don’t get it. Zimmerman has already told the world that he was powerless against a teenager who weighed less than he did, and was armed with only Skittles. Now he wants to fight a rapper. I guess he thinks there is more money and more notoriety at stake, but who does he expect to actually root for him here? There’s a petition to stop the fight, but frankly I hope DMX kicks his ass.

Today, Trayvon Martin would have been 19 years old, and today one more Stand Your Ground case starts in Florida where a white software developer shot a black 17-year old because he had loud music in his car. Stand Your Ground needs to be renamed to Protecting What’s White.

In Hillary News, Media Matters takes a look at the press surrounding her Campaign-In-Waiting and compares it to that surrounding BushCo. Any guesses at the difference? Bush was a rock star and Hillary is all conspiracies and issues. Wonder how that happened? Seriously, there’s no doubt that there are real questions about a Hillary candidacy, but this kind of advance narrative building is just journalistic malpractice.

According to endless Beltway commentary regarding her non-candidacy, Clinton’s overseeing an ominous “shadow campaign” that features a “political hit list” to keep track of “treacherous” foes. She’s linked “to a culture of payback and bare-knuckles politics.” Her non-candidacy is peaking too soon and it lacks “transparency”; it’s a “predestined” “train wreck.” “Indecision” is becoming a trademark. She’s taking a “wrong turn” and repeating her mistakes from 2008. Her presence “unsettles” Democrats, she doesn’t stand for anything, and her campaign needs a better manager!

This weather is driving everyone nuts, but there is no excuse for just ignoring the bridge clearance rules. Whoever was driving this truck, has gotten himself wedged under the railroad bridge over on Lovering Ave by Augustine. And this wasn’t even a close call. So if you are planning on being in that are, be sure to work out a detour first.
