Vicmead Cancelled – DEGOP more lost at sea than that fisherman who washed up in the Marshall Islands

Charlie Copeland really couldn’t stand the idea of raising a glass of champagne and toasting the candidacy of Rose Izzo. I don’t blame him. Why give third tier R’s your honestly inherited money so they can blow it on rent? The nerve of these people….

But seriously folks, Celia is in love with the complete clusterfuckitude of the DEGOP (after the way they treated the sainted Michael Castle, they deserve 30… no 300 years in the wilderness.)

EARLY LINE 2014

Posted: Feb. 4, 2014

The Delaware Republicans canceled Vicmead, their signature fund-raising event. They co-opted they own endorsing convention by putting it off until after the primary.

Would that the Republicans could dispose of Election Day, too. Their statewide ticket looks like abandoned property.

They have nobody to take on the all-incumbent top of the Democratic slate of Chris Coons for senator, John Carney for congressman and Beau Biden for attorney general.

Not to forget there are 123,000 more Democratic than Republican voters. Also the last time the Republicans elected someone new to statewide office was 1994. That was 20 years ago.

Still, the Republicans have to start somewhere, and it probably ought to be by observing the iron rule of politics. You can’t beat somebody with nobody.
