Forget the Sixers, watch the Blue Hens
Seeking their first appearance in the NCAA Tournament in 15 years, the Delaware Blue Hens seemed to let the game slip away in the closing minutes of the second half, as a three-pointer by Tribe guard Omar Prewitt gave William and Mary a six-point lead with 80 seconds left.
What followed was perhaps the most thrilling minute of basketball I’ve witnessed all year (keep in mind, I’ve been stuck watching the Sixers all season).
UD gave Ross a long leash, which has paid off this season. Most coaches with his record his first 3 seasons would have been gone after season 4, which ended 7-24. The Blue Hens are 39-13 in the Colonial Athletic Association the last 3 years. It’s kind of sad the student body really did not attend the games in force until the second half of this season.
I’ll be watching Sunday hoping for a favorable draw and time slot for my viewing convenience. Go Hens!

It isn’t sad it is predictable and sensible. As a student you need to budget your time between watching ‘Ground Hog Day’ on video tape for an Nth time, going to the Deer Park, putting in face time at a work study job, playing cards with your housemates and sleeping (at least I did). You don’t have time to watch a crappy team probably lose.
