DE GOP Announces Primary Election ClusterF*ck Panel
Newark, DE — The Chairman of the Delaware Republican Party today announced that the Party is in the final stages of planning for a clusterfu*ck panel between candidates in the GOP Primary race for United States Senator and State Treasurer on August 28, 2014 in Dover.
“The 2014 Delaware GOP Primary clusterf*ck panel will offer Party faithful a unique opportunity to interact directly with the potential Republican nominees for US Senate and State Treasurer,” said Copeland. “There are difficult choices to be made on September 9th, and the Party’s rank-and-file deserve the opportunity to kick the tires and ask the important questions regarding each candidate’s qualifications and vision for the office they are seeking,” Copeland continued.
Thus far, both Kevin Wade and Carl Smink, candidates vying for GOP nomination to challenge Democrat Chris Coons in the November election, have agreed to participate in the clusterf*ck. Ken Simpler, candidate for State Treasurer, has agreed to participate, while challenger Sher Valenzuela has displayed a flash of sanity. Despite the absence of Ms. Valenzuela, Mr. Simpler will still be given the opportunity to respond to questions per the clusterf*ck panel format. Each campaign was offered the opportunity to negotiate the format of their clusterf*ck.
The format for two clusterf*cks will differ. In the US Senate portion of the evening, each candidate will have the opportunity to offer an opening statement. After, they will answer written questions submitted by the audience. The format of the Treasurer’s debate will have a panel of three asking questions during the first 45 minutes of the debate followed by 15 minutes of the candidates fielding written questions submitted by the audience.

Yes I replaced the word “debate” with clusterf*ck panel – but I challenge you to claim that the change doesn’t get closer to the truth.
Simpler is going to regret getting himself dirty with the teabaggers. I am a bit long on Democratic treasurer candidates, but I may have to pick up some shares of, um, Sher.
“…the Party’s rank-and-file deserve the opportunity to kick the tires and ask the important questions regarding each candidate’s qualifications and vision for the office they are seeking,”
Q: As Senator will you join efforts to defund the EPA until we find the truth about Benghazi?
And as if on cue, a conservative friend of mine facebooks me a picture of Obama/Hillary with the words “Hit like if you are sick of the Benghazi lies”
I told him I would click like, but they forgot Issa’s picture.
At first, he didn’t get it, then he was not amused.
It is clear to me that Copeland is just bringing the rope and letting the participants hang themselves. If this can splash shame on the other down-ticket Republicans, I’m all for it.
