“I’ll be the Lady GOP version Chip Flowers” (paraphrase)
Sher Valenzuela on why she should be (insert name of elected office here).
If Ken Simpler loses the primary to this outright dumbass – the GOP really is beyond hope.
Extra Prediction – The Cape Gazette will overtake the News Journal as Delaware’s newspaper of record within 8 years.
Wouldn’t she more accurately be this year’s Christine O’Donnell?
Chip is an authentic product of the Delaware Democratic Party.
Steve – The constant harping on everything BUT the job of treasurer (… lower taxes, limited government, reducing regulations) gives me the feeling that her primary interest is in the carnival of being elected. That seemed very Flowers-esque to me.
Embracing her Flowers-esque political opportunism, Sher has already reserved Sher2016.com.
Very Floweresque indeed.
Sadly, I doubt she’ll follow her fellow conserva-grifter Urquhart out of the state after she loses, because she’s still making plenty of money by pretending her husband owns her “minority-owned” business firm.
@jason
I was kind of going on the run to the right of a moderate Republican with real credentials in order to insure eventual defeat to a fairly weak Democratic candidate, but you have a fair point.
I’m curious why you predict that the Cape Gazette will become the state’s newspaper of record.
I read the dead tree version of the NJ this weekend, and the Cape Gazette seems more interested in actual news.
The GOP gave Cheryl a prime-time speaking gig at the RNC. Doesn’t get more party-oriented than that.
A two part test for the relevance of the Republican party – (1) can we nominate an electable candidate. If we pass part one, (2) are enough voters paying attention to the candidate and his qualifications such that the candidate can actually win against a generic Democrat.
I hope the sexist name calling put Sher over the top. Her opponent is a big money hedge fun guy with no concept of State Govt finances. Sher will work for the little guy and hold those in Dover accountable.
Vote for Sher tomorrow. Do your state justice.
To Geezer: Urquhart didn’t leave Delaware, and he didn’t even leave Sussex. He moved a few miles away to the north. At the end of 2013, he sold his home at 4 E Lake Drive just south of Rehoboth to Rocco Abessinio, CEO of Applied Bank. The price tag?: $7.7 million.
Urquhart bought a modest home at 16 Cardinals Lane in North Shores for $1.1 million.
