The GOP in Asheville, NC objected to a rainbow flag hung at city hall (voted on unanimously by Asheville City Council), and the GOP hung a Nazi swastika flag alongside it as a protest.
This is how we know them, right?
Senator Chris Coons reminds us that Ebola is not a major US issue (and really, folks, you have a great probability of being shot by a cop or a toddler than getting Ebola — let’s freak out about the damn guns, already):

And the response he got? The usual ugly American crap. Bet every last one of those responding think that they are good Christians too.
The UK Parliament voted to recognize Palestine as a state yesterday.
The WTF of the Day — if you are looking for employment at Jimmy Johns, you have to sign a non-compete agreement. Even if you are just making sandwiches or deliveries:
A Jimmy John’s employment agreement provided to The Huffington Post includes a “non-competition” clause that’s surprising in its breadth. Noncompete agreements are typically reserved for managers or employees who could clearly exploit a business’s inside information by jumping to a competitor. But at Jimmy John’s, the agreement apparently applies to low-wage sandwich makers and delivery drivers, too.
By signing the covenant, the worker agrees not to work at one of the sandwich chain’s competitors for a period of two years following employment at Jimmy John’s. But the company’s definition of a “competitor” goes far beyond the Subways and Potbellys of the world. It encompasses any business that’s near a Jimmy John’s location and that derives a mere 10 percent of its revenue from sandwiches.
Amazing. People with no knowledge of the kind of competitive info that might actually be useful in the sandwich shop down the block, the minimum wage staff, the staff who are already accusing Jimmy Johns of ripping them off are being asked to restrict their own prospects. Seriously, stop eating at these places.
Look, everyone! Two petulant old racists homophobes need attention…
Wait… anonymous racists think they’re funny on the internet! Who would have thought @WildmanHansen22 had a poorly functioning brain.
Wait… the UK passed non-binding legistlation that has zero impact on the UK governments relations with Palestine.
Wait… the lowest paid workers in America get shit on again. (There’s a new Jimmy Johns opening in the 1000 block of Market St…. FYI…)
(Perhaps I should go back on the Zoloft…)
To be clear, the photo is someone’s vision of what the racists want the building to look like.
I think the notion that gays are the same as Nazis is idiotically despicable enough without overdramatizing it.
I used to wonder how the German people allowed the Nazis to butcher people, but with a look at the mentality on social media its easy to see the violent hatful ugly vitriol that would foster such things
Well, I’m just hoping that everyone has had a chance to see the Jimmy Kimmel visit from Shai LeBeouf. Because…well, no reason. But it’s pretty much politics free. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jtAkNf_b_TM
I’ve never eaten anything from a Jimmy John’s, and now I never will.
Please don’t confuse the Jimmy John’s chain restaurant with Jimmy John’s Pipin’ Hot Sandwiches on 202 just north of US 1.

Great hot dogs, ok burgers, and a joy for your children. It’s not the same since the fire destroyed the original trains, but it’s still fun for kids and a decent place to buy lunch if you’re in the area.
If you have young children (2/3 of mine are now adults) take them to the Brandywine River Museum between Thanksgiving and Jan 1 to view the trains, then take them to Jimmy John’s on 202 for lunch. Good times.
We wouldn’t have to be concerned with America’s one Ebola, Americas first contracted case of Ebola, news crew in isolation (or not) and countless other people heading to the ER if we had put travel restrictions in place.
A questionaire is not a travel restriction. The Liberian that died in TX lied on his way into this country.
