Some Asshole Fascist Bigot of a Republican Congressman…
…doesn’t expect to meet gays in Heaven.
In an interview with the Jefferson Herald, King discussed a preliminary document produced during Catholic bishops’ recent synod that stated gays had “gifts” to offer the Christian community. […] King was asked specifically whether he thought divorce or cohabitation were sins. The synod’s preliminary document had called for the church to respect divorced Catholics and stated that in regard to homosexual unions, “it has to be noted that there are cases in which mutual aid to the point of sacrifice constitutes a precious support in the life of the partners.”
“I think that I’ll not comment on that part,” King told the newspaper. “I’ll just say that what was a sin 2,000 years ago is a sin today, and people that were condemned to hell 2,000 years ago, I don’t expect to meet them should I make it to heaven. So let’s stick with that principle.”
My question to Mr. King is simple: is he living a life that makes him think he will make to heaven? It is also a sin to bear false witness, or lie. Mr. King lies quite often. Unless he is sincerely confessing every day, he will not make it to heaven. And the gays in Heaven will not be surprised.
Further, a lot of things were sins 2,000 years ago. A lot of mundane actions forbidden in the old Testament, and even some in the New Testament, are not punishable by death today. Divorce. Adultery. Eating the meat of a pig. Wear clothing made of two fabrics. A famous scene in the West Wing bears this out…
But what was a sin 2,000 years ago is a sin today. And according to Mr. King, once a sin is committed, it shuts the gates of Heaven to the sinner (which of course is explicitly contrary to the teachings of Jesus Christ) forever. So Mr. King will not be running into a lot of Republican friends.
I don’t expect to meet gays in heaven, because heaven is as imaginary as the Easter Bunny.
I knew the Easter Bunny. King is no Easter Bunny. He’s going to Hell with gay Satan and Sadam Hussian
No worries mate, there is no heaven, no hell, no god and above all no devil. Although the Koch Brothers come close.
I don’t believe in imaginary people or ideas.
