Governor vacancy. Candidates must be Delaware natives, have a 5th grade reading level or a degree from Yale Law School and children more photogenic than the officeholder. “During his tenure as Lt. Governor, Matt spent a majority of his time at elementary schools or attending events I was ‘too busy’ to attend,” said Governor Markell. “One of his most endearing qualities was his ability to blend in with the crowd – whether it was a bunch of 3rd graders or a knitting club in Long Neck. Wealthy job creators and large corporations get huge tax cuts. They plow that money back into the economy and, Bango! Your government is sitting on big budget surpluses. That's what was supposed to happen. It never worked, and it was complete horseshit from the get go. However, supply-side die hards claimed that it had never been fully implemented because pesky liberal Keynesians kept the government from cutting taxes as deeply as they needed to be cut in order to unleash this economic marvel. This time it would be different. This time Kansas would lead the way and prove the ability of tax cuts alone to drive an economic revival. This time the Keynes lovers will be shut up, but good.

Senator Thomas "Tom" Carper (D-Del.) announced Wednesday morning that he would not seek reelection in 2016. Carper, 68, is the senior United States Senator from Delaware, serving since 2001. His surprise departure at the end of the term could set off a scramble among his top Delaware politicians to succeed one of the longest-serving elected officials in the state. A towering figure in Delaware politics, Carper served in the United States House of Representatives from 1983 to 1993 and was the 71st Governor of Delaware from 1993 to 2001.
