The Carillon at Nemours in Fairfax. It was built in 1935 by Alfred I. DuPont as a tribute to his parents and as his own mausoleum. Man, rich people. They do have big egos, don’t they?

Alfred I. duPont, devoted his life to children’s health. A quote from Mr. duPont; “It has been my firm conviction throughout life that it is the duty of everyone in the world to do what is within his power to alleviate human suffering.” The Nemours Foundation & the men & women who work there, have done a outstanding job & continue to do just that. I’m sure all of us would put up a a tribute to our parents, wouldn’t you?
At the very least, spell the mans name correctly!! It’s duPont.

Charles LamMot duPont Copeland: “I disagree.”
FFS, it’s the Bell Tower. At least that’s what my (then very young) sons called it when their infant sister was a patient at A.I.
