Clinton absolutely CLOBBERS Bush with this amazing tweet
Bush said:
“My aspiration for the country and I believe we can achieve it, is 4 percent growth as far as the eye can see. Which means we have to be a lot more productive, workforce participation has to rise from its all-time modern lows. It means that people need to work longer hours” and, through their productivity, gain more income for their families. That’s the only way we’re going to get out of this rut that we’re in.”
Then Clinton Tweeted:
What I like about this is the narrative that is being built up. Bush is clueless out of touch loser, very much like his Dad who was amazed by a grocery store scanner.
Bush later tried to spin his remarks by claiming they were pro-worker. But anyone who knows ANYTHING about who has benefited from the productivity gains of the past 20 years, knows that line is complete bullshit.
Exactly how did this moron get a reputation as the “smart” one? His statement reveals an utter lack of understanding. We had a nearly 10% productivity boost from 2008-09, and workers saw exactly none of the money from it.
If the idea here is that Democrats could be wooed to vote for Bush because he’s more “moderate” than other Republicans, they’d better stuff a sock in his mouth for the next 18 months. I’m not going to vote for someone who’s even dumber than his fellow Republicans. Seriously, Ted Cruz sounds like Plato compared with this guy.
Not to mention that Jeb’s response to Trump’s comment about his wife should have brought a much stronger rebuke — something along the lines of, “If that ham-faced fucker wants to say it to my face, he knows where to find me.”
Donald Trump is a bully, and whoever (metaphorically) punches him in the face in the first debate is going to soar by doing it. In the meantime, I’m savoring the Trump love in the dumbest, dirtiest gutters of the GOP — Delaware Politics, for example.
“Exactly how did this moron get a reputation as the “smart” one?”
I’ve been wondering the same thing. The national notion that Jeb is the smart one may go back to this New York Times hagiography.
