I mean Copeland is no idiot (unless maybe he is…?). Maybe he does read this stuff and actually thinks it is somehow rooted in reality.
DEGOP Chair Responds to Democratic Presidential Debate
Newark, DE – The Chairman of the Delaware Republican Party, Charlie Copeland, released the following statement this evening following the Democratic Primary Debate:
“Well, it appears that Halloween has come a bit early this year. What we heard from the Democrats tonight was a scary vision for our nation dressed in pretty language. We also learned that there is no longer room in the Democratic Party for anybody who does not subscribe to the extreme.
“The fact is that the Labor Force Participation Rate has fallen by 3.2%[1] under the Democrats, from 65.2% in January, 2009 to 62% in August, 2015[2], and Delaware’s poverty rate has increased from 9.6% in 2008 to 11% in 2014[3]. These numbers paint a disturbing picture for our state, and call into question whether Democrat policies have actually declared war on the poor rather then poverty. It is simply not possible for Democrats to weave a tapestry out these fibers of failure.
“It’s time for bold Republican leadership that reignites our nation’s economic engine creating new high-paying jobs that help all citizens, especially the poor and middle class, to rise to a new level of economic freedom.”
