R. I. P. Allen Toussaint

He was touring in Madrid, still performing at the age of 77, when he passed away yesterday.  His sound was largely the sound of N’awlins R & B. In fact, I can’t imagine N’awlins music without Allen Toussaint. He often wrote, produced and played piano on some of the best songs to emerge from the Crescent City.  Just check out some of these songs he wrote:
