Congressman John Carney seeks to advance ISIS recruiting goals
What a f*cking profile in courage we have running for Governor.
Congressman John Carney, D-Delaware, believes the U.S. should suspend the intake of military-aged single men fleeing war-torn Syria, but keep allowing women, children and families into the country as federal officials review the vetting process that sees refugees placed across the nation.
Combat-aged single men not attached to families make up about 2 percent of the almost 1,800 refugees admitted into the country, according to the U.S. State Department. But it is those 2 percent who Carney said on Wednesday he’s most concerned with following a terrorist attack on Paris that killed at least 129 people on Friday.
I’m dating myself, but this is so Mike Castle. Trying to be on both sides of something and coming off looking like a bowl of chicken broth.
Well, perhaps we should apply that logic to our own terrorists. Everyone ready to start profiling possible mass shooters in this country? Because if you buy into this argument then you should be fine with this sort of profiling, right?
Chris Matthews keeps making this unbelievably stupid point as well. (I think it might be time for him to consider retirement) He keeps saying why aren’t the male Syrian refugees staying and fighting. Think about that statement for two seconds. They’re under attack, most have lost family members, their homes, have no access to weaponry and no training against an organized force. But they should just organize an insurgency while dodging bullets and bombs?
I actually expected this crap. This is the Dem’s “middle ground”. Let’s take women and children, but not young men because you know how young men are. Actually, let me amend that… because you know how young black and brown men are.
I have a son, so does John Carney. Is he really saying that if something happened to him and his family that his surviving son should be profiled and turned away? That it’s okay to profile young men because they’re dangerous? (Should we do the same to single young women – after all, weren’t some women involved in the Paris situation. I do believe one blew herself up during the raid.) That’s what it sounds like, and it’s really ugly. It’s also blatant pandering. Oooh! Americans are afraid and Republicans are saying no refugees, let me find some BS middle ground. Of course, it’s, yet again, a losing position because the people he’s trying to appease don’t want to take any refugees. Jesus, grow some principles.
It was already obvious, but this issue reveals it in stark terms – Carney has no core values. He has an accounting system in his head which scores his positions in terms of votes won vs. votes lost. End of story.
Perhaps we should suspend all gun sales until we can be certain that none of the people that want to buy them are future mass murderers. I mean, even if one bad guy gets a gun…
Exactly, LG.
I feel better knowing that John Carney wants to ensure that elementary school students aren’t gunned down by Syrian men.
Mmmmm….chicken broth.
Remember: Gorilla war, dude.
how come NO ONE – not one person, has suggested that we revoke the Visa Waiver program we have with France and Belgium…..
the attackers were French and Belgium born, they held French or Belgium citizenship
Melenbeek in Belgium is a hotbed of radicalism…. where is the outrage against that?
where is the outrage against French and Belgium citizens coming to America??/
I dont get it…….
but we are going to cause a rumpus over unattached Syrian males??? well the person that detonated the bomb in Nigeria was ELEVEN
So we will be banning 11 year old Nigerian females seeking shelter and asylum, so that cannot be used like that as well????? SMH
