Taking their cue from Craven Carney, the Delaware State Police are calling for a ‘pause’ in allowing Syrian refugees into the country.

Tom Brackin, president of the Delaware State Troopers Association, chairs the Northeast Regional Troopers Coalition. The group, representing officers from Maine to Delaware, issued a statement this week to back “bipartisan efforts to pause the federal government’s approval of Syrian immigrants into the United States.”
“State police officers vow to protect and serve every citizen, as well as those individuals striving to become part of the fabric of our great country,” the coalition said in its statement.
“However, this is a time to evaluate the circumstances and efficacy of allowing integration of Syrian refugees into the United States. There are fundamental security concerns by our front-line law enforcement officers in our ability to assure the American public that integration will be effectuated with guaranteed public safety.“
Unlike Jack Markell, the cops unsurprisingly have demonstrated no knowledge of the already rigorous 18-24 months screening process that precedes the admission of any Syrian refugee into the country. The words in the statement are boilerplate from the pants-wetters, including Craven Carney. Poor wittle police critters are scared of widows and orphans from Syria.
Just one more example of why we should call a ‘pause’ on the so-called Police Bill of Rights. Maybe unprovoked shootings by cops would plummet. A prediction: Unprovoked shootings and beatings by police officers will prove to be far greater than any ‘menace’ posed by carefully-screened refugees. They also will continue to have extra-constitutional protections and the thin blue line to shield them from any responsibility for their actions.
If anybody has earned the need for extra scrutiny, it’s police officers, not Syrian orphans and widows.
